Maria Manganiello –
Administrative Assistant and Office Manager. Maria’s previous
administrative assistant experience, her pleasant personality and great
telephone manner enable her to skillfully manage BTP’s office and act as a
liaison between the customers and the arborists. She is a graduate of
North Shore Community College and is married with two small children. In
her spare time, Maria enjoys spending time with her family and
shopping.
Betsy Wild – has been working
at BTP since 1985 in and around raising children. She manages the promotional,
marketing and educational materials of BTP’s organic products and services.
Betsy is a graduate of Hollins College in Virginia, and previously headed up the
French Coop Department at Northeastern University. She enjoys gardening and
outside activities, and is passionate about health and environmental issues. As
Peter’s wife, Betsy naturally has developed a love for trees and assimilated a
wealth of tree knowledge since trees are the main topic of conversation in their
home.

Lonnae Cameron - started
working for Boston Tree Preservation in 2004 as a Plant Health Care expert and
has been a great addition to our PHC department. An enthusiastic worker,
she was originally attracted to the Green Industry because of her desire to
learn a useful trade and being able to work outdoors. Lonnae is a graduate
of the University of New Hampshire Thompson School of Applied Science and has
attended numerous seminars and workshops on sylviculture, arboriculture, organic
soil
Dan Wentworth - joins the BTP team as a Plant Health Care
specialist and staff arborist. He has been in the Green Industry for seven years
and is a Massachusetts Certified Pesticide Applicator and Hoisting Engineer. He
likes the Green Industry because he sees visible results from his hard work and
plans to further his education in the industry. When he is not working, Dan
enjoys mountain biking, fishing, and camping

Kurt Rhynd - started with BTP in 2004 doing plant health care
and tree work. He has prior experience in both tree and landscape work,
but really prefers working with trees. He is a graduate of University of
Massachusetts Green School Extension, and was attracted to the Green Industry
because it combines his love of working outdoors and with people with the
science of trees. He wants to continue learning as much as he can about
trees and grow with BTP. In his spare time, Ken enjoys a busman’s holiday
of working in his yard as well as hiking. He is married with two young
children.

Owner Peter Wild – started Boston Tree Preservation in 1977
under the name of Winchester Tree Service, Inc., though his commitment to the
Green Industry goes back even further when he bought his first chain saw.
Peter’s extensive knowledge, his expertise and love of trees are very apparent
in his dedication to the industry. He is a true forerunner in the Green
Industry, passionately trying to preserve and protect the urban forest and the
environment through the use of organics. Peter is also a consulting arborist, an
expert witness, and a creative landscape designer. He is a graduate of the
University of Massachusetts Stockbridge School of Agriculture, is a
Massachusetts Certified Arborist, and a member of the Massachusetts Arborists
Association and International Society of Arboriculture. Peter is Chairman of the
Winchester Town Forest Committee. Peter is a recognized statewide, national and
international
Robert Monahan - joined BTP in 2005 in the Plant Health Care
department. He has ten years’ experience in the horticulture-arboriculture
field after having started in a youth training program with exposure to all
aspects of the industry. Originally from Northern Ireland, he studied
horticulture at Greenmount College in Ireland. His awareness of the
environment and liking outdoor work led him to the Green Industry. In his
spare time, Robert enjoys traveling and cooking.
Bill Johnson – first came to BTP in 1978 and works in many
different aspects of the company. He is a tireless worker and cares deeply about
each landscape where he works. Bill was initially attracted to the Green
Industry because he enjoys working outside and with plant material. He
particularly likes pruning trees and plant health care.
Dan Doherty – Facilities and Equipment Manager, joined the BTP
team in 1998 as a truck and equipment mechanic. Since then Danny's job has grown
to include maintenance of equipment (he makes sure all trucks are meticulously
maintained inside and out), managing inventory in the warehouse, organizing the
exterior grounds including mounds of wood chips, product pallets and all the
trucks, and when needed he operates the log loader and other heavy equipment on

Joe Alongi – Vice President of
Sales. Joe manages the tree division and brings twenty-five years experience as
an arborist, climber and landscape designer to our team. Joe has worked for BTP
since 1979, and is a graduate of the University of Massachusetts Stockbridge
School of Arboriculture. He is a Massachusetts Certified Arborist and licensed
plant health care applicator. Joe was initially attracted to the Green Industry
because he loves to work outside and enjoys landscaping, and is passionate today
about improving the environment and getting homeowners away from the use of
pesticides and herbicides.
Gary Frain - BTP's newest tree
climber, is passionate about trees. A graduate of Stephen F. Austin State
University with a major in Forestry and minor in Horticulture, he previously
worked as a tree climber for Saveatree and as a landscape caretaker at Stephen
F. Austin State University. Gary is an International Society of Arboriculture
certified arborist and a certified Massachusetts pesticide applicator. He feels
strongly about teaching proper pruning and arboricultural practices, and in the
future hopes to be a leader in arboricultural consulting. In his spare time,
Gary enjoys windsurfing, snow boarding and traveling.
